Cycling Argentina's Ruta 68 from Alemania nach El Carril. |
 We have breakfast at the abandoned train station in Alemania and enjoy the tranquillity of the place before we cycle back to Ruta 68. From today on, it will get louder and more hectic the closer we get to the densely populated area around Salta. Quite a change compared to the day out there on Ruta 40. |
 Looking back at the bridge connecting the abandoned Alemania railway station with Ruta 68. The short stretch from the bridge to the lookout is a great way to warm up on a cool morning. |
 We have left the Quebrada de las Conchas gorge behind us, the land next to the road is flat again and is used for agriculture. |
 The agricultural area is mainly used for growing wine. |
 We cycle to El Carril, where we spend the night and drink another Malbec from the Cafayate region. After sleeping in the tent last night, we are looking forward to our shower. |
